The Brandhorst Museum

Located in the heart of Munich’s renowned Kunstareal (Art Quarter) in Maxvorstadt, directly adjacent to the Alte Pinakothek, Neue Pinakothek and Pinakothek der Moderne, the Brandhorst Museum opened in May 2009 as a striking new addition to the city’s museum landscape. Designed by the Berlin- and London-based architecture practice Sauerbruch Hutton, the building is instantly recognizable by its facade of 36,000 vertically mounted ceramic louvers in 23 different colors that create a shimmering, ever-changing play of light and hue.

The museum was purpose-built to house the extraordinary private collection of modern and contemporary art assembled by heirs Anette Brandhorst and her late husband Udo Brandhorst. With 34,445 sq ft of exhibition space spread across three main levels and several mezzanine floors (total usable area 57,049 sq ft), it presents masterpieces by artists such as Andy Warhol, Cy Twombly, Damien Hirst, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Sigmar Polke.

The interior is characterized by a sophisticated sequence of spaces: the ground floor features intimate, interconnected smaller galleries, while the dramatically daylit upper floor contains two large top-lit halls – the largest measuring 4,844 sq ft with a ceiling height of 29.5 feet – ideal for monumental works and immersive installations.

Condair DL

The Condair DL is the next generation of the Condair Dual2, the world's most successful system for adiabatic humidification. Its hygienic credentials have proven successful in practice and were verified and certified by independent organizations with public responsibility.

Hybrid humidification relies exclusively on the advantages of atomization and evaporation. This results in the sustainable resolution of key problems which can emerge when these technologies are used in isolation. The humidification system is therefore the first choice in terms of hygiene, energy-efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
