The Allianz Arena was one of the most contested construction projects, and there was even a public referendum of Munich’s residents. Since then, it has become the central landmark in northern Munich and an architectural trademark for the city. The translucent, diamond-shaped outer facade that can light up in various colors is especially striking.

Projectors and asymmetrical, parabolic mirrors that were developed specifically for the Allianz Arena can be illuminated in various colors to represent team colors.
